1. toss

definition: to throw

sentence: My dog likes to run after the ball when I toss it.

sentence: Jackson will toss the ball into the air and try to catch it.

sentence: I tossed the rock into the ocean.

2. torpedo

definition: Torpedo is a missile.

definition: Torpedo is a bomb.

definition: a long cylinder shape missile that explodes on contact with an object

sentence: Torpedos are shot from a submarine.

sentence: The torpedo hit the boat and blew it up.

sentence: The submarine crew shot a torpoedo at their enemies and blew them up.

3. quench

definition:  to get rid of your thirst by drinking a liquid

sentence: I like to quench my thirst by drinking water.

sentence:  I quenched my thirst with water after playing outside in the hot sun.

4. reject / rejection

definition: to refuse, to say "no"

sentence: I reject people when they try to sell me something.

sentence: It's very difficult to be rejected.

sentence: I rejected the idea of being a flower in the play. I wanted the lead role.

sentence: I rejected the $500.00 gift my grandma tried to give to me. I felt that she needed the money more than I.

5. harm

definition: hurt, damage, injury

sentence: The dog tried to harm me when he tried to bite my leg.

sentence: I was in harms way when I walked in the middle of the busy street.

6. splash

definition: When something hits a liquid it makes a splash.

sentence: Jack jumped into the pool and when his body hit the water it made a huge splash.

sentence: Josephine jumped into the puddle of water and made a splash.

sentence: Kids like to play in the bathtub and splash the water.

7. munch

definition: to eat with a chewing motion, chew loudly.

sentence: Alyssa likes to munch her food and chew loudly.

sentence: Jill was munching her food. She sounded like a cow eating.

sentence: Jessie likes munching on crunchy chips.

8. creature

definition: a living being,  an animal, a human being, a made up animal

sentence: The creature in the movie was from another world and attacked earth.

sentence: The creature had five eyes, 6 legs and very long arms.

sentence: The creature was very tall with white fur and lived in the snow.

9. sneaky

definition: to be tricky, to be deceitful, to be dishonest

sentence; Chris was being sneaky when he took the cookies from the cookie jar after his mother said he couldn't have any cookies.

sentence: Jim was sneaking around my house to see the creature I was hiding in my basement.

10. gulp / gulped

definition: To swallow very quickly or swallow a large amount of food all at once.

sentence: When I gulp my food I sometimes choke.

sentence: I didn't feel very well after I gupled my food at dinner.

sentence: I gulped when I heard a strange noise outside of my house.
