1. moping definition: To walk around sad. sentence: The team was moping the entire weekend because they had lost the championship baseball game. Sentence: Adrianna was moping around after her boyfriend broke up with her. Sentence: I told Adrianna to stop moping around and have some fun.
2. cancel definition: to delete, to take out, to remove, to cancel sentence: The league will cancel the game if it starts to rain. sentence: John will cancel his trip if his wife has the baby. sentence: Lisa is going to cancel her speech because she is not feeling well.
3. education defintion: being educated, having knowledge, learning things sentence: You need to have a good education in order to get a good job. sentence: It's important for my child to have a good education, so I am sending her to college.
4. exclusive definition: only yours, not shared with anyone, or being part of an exclusive club which excludes others that might want to join. sentence: Debbie has the exclusive rights to her song. sentence: John joined an exclusive club. You have to have 5 million dollars to join.
5. region definition: area defnition: There are four regions in California, the mountains, the coast, the desert, and the central valley. sentence: The desert region gets very hot. sentence: The Alaskan region gets very cold.
6. commit defintion: to pledge to do something. To say you are going to do something and you do it. sentence: I commit to not smoke. sentence: I commit my time to help the homeless. sentence: Christina will not commit to anything.
7. baffled definition: confused sentence: I am always baffled how I always seem to lose one sock. sentence: John was baffled by the science teacher's explanation.
8. perimeter definition: The boundry of an area. sentence: When you play a game, you play within a perimeter. sentence: When the ball went outside the perimeter, the other team got the ball. sentence: The police covered the perimeter of the building so that the thieves couldn't escape.
9. echo definition: a sound that is repeated sentence: Sam yelled, "Hello!" from the top of the mountain and he heard the echo, "hello, hello, hello". sentence: The students were repeating what the teacher was saying, and the teacher told them that she didn't want to hear an echo.
10. mechanism definition: a machine sentence: The refrigerator is a mechanism that keeps my food cold. sentence: The can opener is a mechanism that opens my can goods.
