Question: Do I have to use the pronoun "yo"
when I say, "Yo quiero"?
Answer: No, "Quiero - I want" is much quicker.
Question: Do I have to use the pronoun "tú" when
I say, "¿Quieres tú? - Do you want?".
Answer: No, ¿Quieres?" is much quicker.
Question: Do I have to use the pronoun "usted" when
I use "¿Quiere usted?".
Answer: Yes and No. Â Because "quiere" is shared by
three pronouns, "él", "ella" and "usted",
sometimes you have to use the pronoun in the
beginning of the conversation to state who you are talking
to or about. Once you have stated who you are speaking
about, then you can just use "quiere" but if you are going to
change, from "him to her" in the conversation, then you will
have to be clear by using the "ella" pronoun.
for ie.
If you say, "Él quiere una bicicleta. - He wants a bike." then
after that the you can say, "Quiere también. - He also wants."
without the "él" pronoun.  but if you were going to change the
subject to "she - ella"then you couldn't just say, "quiere", you
would have to say, "ella quiere".
If you want to understand when to use,
"la", "una", "el", "un" go to
chapter one - "¿Que es eso?".
If you want to learn more about the conjugation
of querer, Â go to "chapter two - querer".
