¿Cómo está? vs. ¿Cómo estás? - How are you?
There is a "formal" way and a "familiar" way to say, "How are you?" in Spanish.
When you are speaking with respect, or to someone you don't know,
you say, "Cómo está?".
When you know somebody or you are speaking to children, you use the familiar way and say, "¿Cómo estás?.
¿Qué paso? vs. ¿Qué pasó? - What is happening / What happened?

The accent on the "o" in "¿Qué pasó" is past tense -"What happened".
"¿Qué paso?" without the accent mark is present tense "What's happening".
¿Cómo está haciendo? vs. ¿Cómo estás haciendo? - What are you doing?
¿Cómo estás haciendo? (familiar) - What are you doing?
¿Cómo está haciendo? (formal) - What are you doing?
"estás" is the 2nd person verb form of "estar-to be" from the pronoun, "tú".
"está" is the 3rd person verb form of "estar -to be" from the pronoun "usted".
¿Cómo vas? vs. ¿Cómo va? - How is it going?
¿Cómo vas? (familiar) - How's it going?
¿Cómo va? (formal) - How's it going?
"vas" is the 2nd person verb form of "ir - to go" from the pronoun "tú".
"va" is the 3rd person verb form of "ir - to go" from the pronoun "usted".
"ir - to go" is an irregular verb form and not conjugated the same as "regular ir verbs".
"Qué le vaya bien." is one of my favorite expressions to say.
You say, "Qué le vaya bien." when someone is leaving. You are telling them to
have a good going. In English, we say, "Have a good one."
