Learn Spanish Free

4/1/10 -  It's 3:00am in the morning. I have been building and creating for the last month everyday and everynight, Though I did take off one night and went to see Ray Davies. Excellent show, but i did come home and work after the concert. I have been building up the English Program and the Spanish Program. I am creating the past tense, and future tense, I have built a lot of German Programs and more are coming next week. I have been working on finding French voices, but of no avail. This has been a very productive month for languages4free.com. There are more people coming to the site than ever. Some people have said it was too slow, but haven't told me any reasons why they feel the program is going too slow. I do have a very fast version of the Spanish program being created. That should start being available in about about 5/1/10.  Well, I am going to go to sleep, If you have any negative comments, I would like to hear from you. I need feedback so that I can create what you need.

I have added new German, and I have been building a new site called freespanishprogram.com.  it's under construction, but there are Spanish Songs with Translations of the song so that when you are listening to the song, you can learn the vocabulary. So basically, you listen to the singers say the words in Spanish and you learn the words because the translation is right next to the spanish vocabulary.  There are all different kinds of songs, but I try to use the slower songs so that you can here the vocabulary.  A great way to pick up new vocabulary.

"Stories (advanced)" in the "Spanish Menu" has been fixed and is available again. The voice overs for the story telling in the English is being created, and the Spanish voice overs are coming for the advanced Stories in Spanish..

Ok it has been a successful month. I have been building the German content. I also started building easy to listen to voice overs. You can see the work in "¿Que es eso?" in chapter one in the Spanish section, the Italian and German sections. I also added Chapter 10... Chapter 10 is getting into the futures, and past tense. If you are a beginning learner, I advise you learn chapter 10 as you are learning the rest of the program. The voice overs are not there yet, but they will be there in about a week or so.

Still going. I created more German programs and I just created a new Italian program. I am burned out the last two days. I have been working around the clock and I keep going to bed at 3:00 am - 3:30am everyday. The prep work to build each program seems to take forever. 1/12/10 11:40 - The start of the German Program (santa barbara adventure

Ok, so 20 minutes after I left L.A. to get to Santa Barbara by 2:30pm, my car overheated, I was quite lucky though because I pulled over on the side of the freeway and parked the car dead center of a call box. I pressed the button and the police sent a tow truck. The tow truck took me to Chuckies. yes I got ripped off, but good ole Chuck was entertaining and comical. I stood next to him the whole time while he worked on the car. I even was able to get a picture of him so that I could use it in the program as "mechanic". Well, after spending two hours to fix a leak in the radiator. (All he did wa put "radiator repair" into the radiator and switched out my thermostat, which was probably unnecessary, but i let him do it,  My goal was to do whatever it took to get up to Santa Barbara, meet marc and get the voice overs completed. There was 65 hours of work put into building the German program and by the time I was done, there were 150 pages of voice overs to do. Well Chuck gave me a 70 /30 chance of making it, after fixing my car with scotch tape and crazy glue. So I arrived safely in Santa Barbara and we worked 11 hours on the voice overs and made it half way through. I will be going back to Santa Barbara in the next month or so to finish up. It was a great time and a lot of hard work went into correcting and making sure that you as the learner is getting the best German program possible. I made it home Sunday evening and was out of it all day Monday. It is Tuesday Jan 12th 2010 at 11:49am and I am right now going to start building out the first German program.

Wow! I have put in about 50 hours in the last 4 days on building the German program. I know so much German I am probably going to dream in German by February 1st. If you haven't wanted to learn German, I suggest you learn it. It is a fun language to learn and if you know English and have been studying other languages, then you will learn German quickly. If you have any kind of yiddish background, you are going to love it.... My favorite phrase to say is "Die Hose ist shmutzig. - The pants are dirty." It's not the sentence that makes it great, it's the pronunciation of that sentence that makes it great. When I say it, it reminds of Gene Wilder.

I actually took a little vacation and came back rejuvenated. I have been working on the "German"program. I didn't think I was going to get to create this language for a while, but for some reason two nights ago I was inspired. I am actually having a great time learning German. If everything goes correctly, it will take about 4 weeks to build out the program and start uploading the video lessons.  So if you have been wanting to learn German, this is going to be a great program to learn from. The Italian is always on going and will also be completed within the next few months. So by April this site should be rocking. French is also on the horizon. I would like to be creating the Hebrew and Japanese programs by the end of summer.

Just finished putting a new program in the Italian. I corrected the voice overs yesterday in the Italian programs to make them sound better and I have been working on voice overs and building Italian programs. It's taking a lot of time to build the Italian. I am working on it everyday and trying to get the Italian done as quickly as possible. That last 13 days have been very busy building the Italian program.

I have been working everyday since 11/26/09. Crazy amount of time and hours have gone into building the new content. You will see new vocabulary builders. New Spelling Exams, Did some new Speed Vocabylary. BUT if you are wanting to learn Italian, "Stay Tuned" because I am uploading NEW ITALIAN VIDEOS.  I am hoping the Italian program will be completed in the next 6 - 7 weeks, but as it gets completed, I will be putting up new programs in that time. It was a nice turkey day. I created a few new "vocabulary builders" for "Descriptions" and "¿Cómo está?". Then I did something that I do every Turkey Day. I cleaned my work area and the house. It feels good to clean after living in the mucky muck for so long. I hope the new "Vocabulary Builders" help your Spanish Studies. I will make "Vocabulary Builders" for all the other languages once I am able to raise money for the voice overs. Please help the cause and send a few dollars through pay-pal. Well it's been a very long day. I am going to sleep tonight, though I wish I could work through the night, but I want to be fresh for the morning. I will be building Vocabulary Builders all weekend long to finish up that section. WOW! I can't believe I am getting to work on the Vocabulary Builders. I fell asleep around 6am after a grueling but exciting 24 hours of work. My wife came into the room at 7:45am and woke me up. I picked up the ton of bricks that was being held up by my neck. I reluctantly opened my eyes to look at her excitedly about being woken up from the deepest part of my 1.5 hour sleep.  I looked at her, she looked at me and says, "your eyes are very bloodshot." At this point I was excited to hear I had eyes after looking at the monitor for so long. Well, I jumped out of bed, which wasn't even my bed, because everyone in the household was sleeping in my bed. At 6:00am I was tired so I took the closest available bed. At 7:45am I was woken up to help by my wife get the kids ready for school. I got up fairly quickly. It was one of those things that you just do to get it over with. The first thing I did the minute I got up was go to the computer for a short visit, because I have responsibilities.  I had to make their lunches, change a diaper, get the boy dressed and find shoes and backpacks and the whole shabang. They were all gone about 8:30am and I was on the computer working and it's 1:11pm and here I am working. I am going to work for about another 6 hours before everyone comes home and the night begins again. Maybe I will sleep.

It's been a tough week. I have been working between a lot of difficult times. My 34 year old cousin over dosed and passed away a week ago. I hope she is finally at peace.  Knowing her she is upstairs laughing and having a good time with passed family members while everyone still here on Earth is mourning her loss.  We had her funeral yesterday. Funerals suck. Ok, now back to life..... I have been working on rebuilding the Italian "body parts" with voice overs.

I am really glad to see people are sticking to the program. I give you a lot of credit because it's not easy to learn a new language. Keep up the good work. The more you do it, the more you hear it and see it. The more you hear it and see it, the more you remember it. The more you remember it, the more you will want to use the language. The more you use the language the better you will become at the language you are learning. This program gives you a great jump start to learn a new language.  This program is created to make you confident to speak and think in your new language.

Ok.... I don't know what day it is. I don't even know what time it is anymore. I have been building so much and not sleeping. I didn't go to bed until 4am this morning. My wife came out and said, "it's late." closed the sliding door and went back to sleep. I got to bed about 4:30am. I woke up about 7:45am and got on the computer, but didn't do much until I got home from taking the kids to school. About 1:30pm I got a phone call for my first real editing job working for a television station. I am very psyched, because I interviewed for the job a year and a half ago and didn't hear from them. This morning they called me and asked me to come to work. Well, it's been tough because I haven't made money in so long I forgot what it was like. And surely a Free language site is not going to pay the bills. But it's been a great 13 years building the content and one year building the site. I love this site. I hope you do too. This site has kept me busy and in my right mind. It has seen me through some real bad times. I built these new exercises called "Games #1" and "Games #2". Try them out and if I get good feed back, I'll make more of them. I have been adding new Italian material. I have been setting up a new learning tool called "Game", but there are no points to the game, It's just see how you do. The first game is on verbs. It has 20 questions. I am going to develop more today to see how I can make them better. Not sure about it yet. I also cleaned up the site a bit, but that is also changing. It was a long haul, but I just met the short term goal of correcting the English programs that needed fixing. The English program,  as much as I could get done is going up tonight. I completed my goal, but there is so much more to do for the English program. So, if you know of anyone who needs to learn English, please let them know. It's been a very long day working on creating the English programs. I started at 6:00am and took a break at 2;45pm to pick the kids up and then I came back at 3:15pm and the kids played while I went back to work and now it's 8;00pm and I hope I get to stop soon. I am very burnt out. Watching the Angels lose and the Dodgers lose last night is just heartbreaking. Thought we were going to see a Dodger - Angel World Series. But I guess not...

The pictures and videos that you see in this program were all taken by me. It was a very long scavenger hunt that took 10 years to complete. My hardest shot was lightning since I live in a place where lightning is rare. But don't think that I wasn't outside chasing it when it came along, I just couldn't get the shot. A little nerve racking too while waiting for the perfect lightning strike. I even drove to las vegas during the stormy season to caputure a lightning strike, but no luck.  I was in Florida about 9 years ago and tried to get the shot, that was a very wet night standing in the rain in an open field with no luck.  But finally after years of chasing, I got the lightning strike while I was at home.  I put the cameras outside and went inside to wait. I waited for the lightning and let the cameras roll. I remember I was hoping the cameras were pointing the correct way, because I just didn't know where or when the lightning strike would happen.  I am happy with the strike I captured that night, but I dreamt of getting something like you would find on the nature channels.

The broken door that you see with the key that tells you that you need to log-in to the site. That door was my front door to the place I was living at about 10 - 11 years ago. That place was a nightmare. I came home one evening after work to find a note on the door saying that the bank repossessed the home.  The landlord was taking my rent and not paying the mortgage. I was moving out all night long back to my mom's house. The worst part was that I just paid the months rent.

I have been working on languages4free.com all day long, but this time I created a "Fruits" program and decided I was going to also work on a new chapter. Now there are Nine Chapters in the Chapters 1- 8. So instead it's called Chapters 1 - 9.  It was grueling work to put together the fruits project. It's not easy finding all the voice overs, mastering the voice overs, finding all the videos, editing the videos, then sizing the videos for the correct speed, then create the titles,  place the titles on the timeline.Then I have to listen and watch it. Make adjustments and fine tune the video. Then I have to render the video, transfer the video from a quicktime file to an flv file. Then I have to upload and write the video into the program. Then I have to re-master the voice overs for the listening quizzes. Once that is complete, I have to write the listening quiz program. After that, I have to go on to the site for the last time to make sure everything is running correctly.  After all that, I have to create the quizzes, hangman and vocabulary builders.  All for just one program.  Plus it was so hot in the house today not even open windows were helping.

Well if you haven't noticed the "English" section is being built and is up on the site, even though it is not complete yet, it is up on the site for people who want to learn English, or improve their vocabulary as I build it. I am a certified/master teacher who is out of work, I stopped teaching two years ago so I could build this site and stay home with my kids. I needed to go back to work a year ago, but the economy turned so badly that L.A.U.S.D had tremendous budget cuts. I am not able to get a teaching job until the budget allows more teachers. I have a job waiting for me at the local college, but until the california budget allows for more teachers, I am pretty much ...........The nine years that I worked as a teacher I worked with 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. I worked with children who were ESL students and with EO(English Only) students. In the time I was teaching, I had been building programs for the students to improve their English. I am now giving all the content that I worked on for free to help those who want to improve themselves. I have been struggling to make this all come to fruition because it takes a lot of time and money.  I am really hoping that the people using this site will donate so I can hire the proper people to do voice overs and to do what else needs to be done to make this the best 100% free website for you and the world to use.  I will bring you, more spanish learning, Spanish II, Italian I and II, French I and II and all the other languages. Well, I am on a break. It's really called burnout. I can't get it together to work on the site. But that has happened so many times in thirteen years. I burn out and I never think I am going to work on the project again, and then I come back stronger than ever and start working again. Does anyone know how to write a grant? I need money to make this project really pop. I don't have the money to hire the voice over people to complete Spanish II, Italian and French. I need the money to move forward. I have been building listen/write... making instructions and exams for "Tener - To Have".  I have building exams and instructions for "Querer - I want". I have mastering voice overs so that I can build more programs. So this was a good working weekend. Someone said they hate the "Speed Vocabulary" I wish I knew why. How could someone not like learning words quickly. But that just shows there isn't going to be one program for everyone. Everyone learns differently.

Tener is finally ready for you to learn. I worked on it all day today and just finished uploading it. The exams, hangman and listen/write activities will be created tomorrow. I accomplished a lot but I did not make the full goal, but at least the lessons are started and I even completed some. I was hoping to get the entire "Tener" program uploaded tonight, because I have knee surgery tomorrow and will be out of commission for just a bit. So I will complete another day when I am not knocked out.

I just finished the "Yo tengo - I have" in the Listen/Write activitiy. Now I am going to attempt to get the videos up with pictures and color coded vocabulary in Chapter 7 Lesson 1 in Chapters 1 - 8. I hope you are all enjoying this program, because I sure am having fun building it and watching everyone use it. If you have any suggestions, my goodness I would like to hear from you. Going back to work to complete my goals for the day.

I just added the "yo necesito" in the listen/write section. I am now going to create the "tener - to have" today. I should have created it eleven months ago.  I was wondering when I was going to create this program. Well, today is the day, and by the end of the day the "tener" program in

Chapter 7 lesson 1 and "yo tengo - I have" in the listen/write section will be completed and uploaded today. It will be a monkey off my back.

I just completed the pre-work to building "yo necesito" for the listen/write activity. It will be up and running tomorrow. To build exams, activities, videos, hangman or vocabulary builder or speed builder, there is a lot of pre-work before any of these latter items get built and uploaded on to the site.  It's 100% exhausting.

I just completed a new "animals" video in Chapter 5 Lesson 1.

It's been a long time since I created a video like this, There are more Animal videos to come with new Animals, but I have to get my camera out and shoot the videos. Every video and picture you see, I have taken myself.  I hope you are enjoying the program, because it's not only a language program to me, it's an art piece as well.

My daughter woke up and got me off the computer. I have been writing all the exams for the speed vocabulary since 12:30am. I am now going to go put her back to sleep and fall asleep myself. I will post the new exams sometime today.
